It's necessary to have a standard monthly plan with Verizon, and you have to be in good standing with the company. You also need to reside in areas of the US other than Guam, Puerto Rico, and The Virgin Islands.
Furthermore, you need to have access to the My Verizon app. You also have to be enrolled in the Verizon Selects advertising program. It's not possible to be part of the program with a Verizon business account.
All you need to do to register is open the My Verizon app and go through the prompts after clicking the Verizon Up option from the menu.

You get credits by paying your monthly cell phone bill. You spend these credits on the rewards. A credit is earned after you make 300 dollars in monthly payments to Verizon. However, taxes and additional fees don't count towards credits.
You're eligible for a reward after earning your first credit! You can choose the reward that you prefer. Depending on your monthly Verizon bill, it's possible to save up credits rather than getting your reward immediately.
The program has three types of rewards:
This the program's most common type of reward. They only cost you one credit. You'll get six new reward options each month. Verizon chooses them based on what they think you'll prefer. These rewards could be discounts on Verizon accessories, a discount on the next device you buy, or a reward from one of Verizon's partner companies.
Unexpected rewards are sent only on special occasions. An example of a time that you may receive an unexpected reward could be your one year anniversary of signing up for Verizon. Sometimes, you may be eligible for an unexpected reward without there being a particular reason for it. You don't need credits for them.
The Verizon Up program sometimes offers tickets to sporting events, concerts, and other events. A clock counts down to the time that you're eligible to receive the tickets. The countdown can be found in at the bottom of the menu of the My Verizon app. You're eligible to receive the reward as soon as the countdown reaches zero.
It's important to act fast to get them since they're given out on a first come, first serve basis. There also are Dream Tickets available. While they're only available to a few customers, these tickets offer a truly once in a lifetime experience.
The navigation icon to find the Verizon Up program is located in the upper left corner of your device's screen after opening the app. While it's easy for most customers to find Verizon Up in the My Verizon app, some people need to download an upgrade of the app. You'll know right away if you need to do this because Verizon Up won't appear in the app if you need an upgrade.
Credits expire in 60 days. All rewards eventually expire, but the time until a reward expires varies. Therefore, you have to read the terms of the reward carefully.
In addition to earning credits from your monthly bill, purchases from Verizon count towards credits. However, the purchases need to be charged to your account.
You'll start earning credits as soon as you enroll and pay a monthly bill.
You can have 10 credits in your account at a time. If you have more than 10 credits in your account, you won't be able to earn more credits until you use one.
Tap track from the Verizon Up menu. This will show you the amount of credits that you earned from a monthly bill. You can spend a credit by tapping use now. This will take you to the list of rewards that are available to you. You can view claimed rewards and manage them by tapping use.
The number of credits that you have in your account is updated within 72 hours of paying a bill that results in a credit being earned.
Your options change on the first day of each month.
After you tap choose from the menu, you can learn more about an individual reward by tapping it. If you want to claim the reward, you can tap claim now. Then, you'll need to confirm that this was the reward you claimed. This will cause the reward to appear after you tap use.
After you tap the claimed reward in the use tab, you'll see a list of instructions that you need to follow to claim the reward. You generally have a significant time window for when to use the reward.
Anyone with access to an account can claim an unexpected reward. However, super tickets and earned rewards can only be claimed by owners and managers of accounts.
If you aren't the account manager or account owner, you will still be able to see super tickets and earned rewards. However, a lock will appear next to them to indicate that you can't claim or use them.
It's not possible to transfer rewards between accounts or lines.
Rewards from the previous month are never available the next month. This is because the quantities of rewards are limited.
You don't have to tell Verizon anything about your preferences. Verizon determines them during the time that you have a Verizon account. As a result, the rewards are likely to become more tailored to your interests as time goes on. In addition, your rewards can be different from the ones offered to your friends and family.
This is due to the fact that rewards change each month.
Credits are only lost if you don't use them for a period of 60 days.
There are only two reasons why this could happen. It's either that you don't have the credits for it or you're an account member rather than an account manager or account owner.

You're not allowed to sell rewards. In fact, Verizon reserves the right to cancel your Verizon Up account if you are suspected of reselling rewards.

Device dollars are accumulated over time. The rewards are used when you upgrade your device, and they provide a discount. A device dollar is good for 24 months after you select the reward. However, you only have 30 days to purchase the upgrade with the discount after you tap the device dollar reward in the use section.
Device dollars are stackable. Therefore, it's best to save up as many of them as possible for the biggest discount.
While they appear in the same section of the Verizon Up menu as other rewards, you'll have to copy and paste a bar code to the shopping page where you're purchasing the product. The bar code is visible when you tap on the reward in the use section. If you're purchasing the product in person, you'll need to show the bar code to the cashier at the Verizon store. A single bar code will be used for the combined amount of all your device dollars rewards.
In addition, you can redeem device dollars as credit on your account. You'll have to go to one of the Verizon stores that are able to do this. The credit in your account will be usable in 1-2 billing cycles.

The program is designed to personalize the experience you have with the company. Verizon Selects makes advertising on all your Verizon devices and services you receive from the company more useful to you. Verizon does this by examining where you're located, your browsing history, the apps you use, and the Verizon's services you use. Other information can be used, such as your mailing and email address.
The program is also used to personalize your Verizon Up rewards. However, it's possible to be part of Verizon Up without being part of Verizon Selects. While you have to participate in Verizon Selects to join Verizon Up, it's possible to leave Verizon Selects and remain in Verizon Up. In addition, you can modify the privacy settings of Verizon Selects on the Verizon website.
