Earlier today, Verizon customers went through another network outage. This is a new outage that happened just a week after the wireless carrier was down for hours.
The wireless carrier shared that its customers experienced a problem calling a landline number from their mobile phone. According to DownDetector, the issue was experienced by customers at around 5:51 am ET and peaked to 8:21 am ET. Some customers reported having problems with their 5G home internet while a handful could not connect to Verizon’s network.
Major US cities were affected by the outage including New York City, Phoenix, AZ, Chicago, IL, and many more. The outage also affected the MVNOs that ran on Verizon’s networks.
Thankfully, the issue was quickly attended to and fixed by Verizon.
