Last year, LG announced that it would be shutting down its smartphone division. This wasn’t really a huge surprise to many, especially since the manufacturer has continuously failed to gain momentum in the smartphone market.
When it revealed its decision, the South Korean manufacturer promised that it would continue providing software updates and service support for some time. Of course, this only meant assistance for flagship devices starting from 2019. Such models would be eligible for three OS updates.
And true enough, LG has released the list of South Korean devices that will be receiving an update in Q2 2022. Some of the phones included in the list for an Android 12 update are the LG Q92 5G, LG V50 ThinQ, and LG V50S ThinQ. Meanwhile, the LG Q52, LG Velvet, and LG Wing are slated to receive a security update. You can check out the full list here.
While this is for the South Korean models of these phones, it’s possible that these models in other countries will also be receiving an update within the year.
