Yesterday, Google released a promotional video for the Pixel 6 which took a jab on one of its former rivals. The funny thing about this, however, is that its competitor has stopped making phones for a few months now.
We’re talking about LG, who has stopped manufacturing phones for over six months already. But despite this, Google still took the time to reference the company in its Pixel 6 promotional video.
Well, LG has responded to the video and it’s a response that took us all by surprise.
Instead of negatively responding to the attack, LG has decided to take things positively. They are even offering an exclusive $65 discount to its “most loyal customers” who want to purchase the Pixel 5a with 5G.
With this discount in place, you can save money when you purchase the device. The base price of the Pixel 5a with 5G normally costs $449 so you can get the phone for $384. The catch is, however, that you have to wait for an email from LG before you can get the discount. If you fit into LG’s list of loyal customers, then this is something you can keep an eye out for on your inbox.
