When the new HTC Desire 510 was officially announced last night, the Taiwan-based phone manufacturer was not exactly too enthusiastic in revealing when or where buyers can get hold of the newly-introduced entry level Android phone.
But just this afternoon, HTC USA revealed through their official Twitter account the names of wireless companies that will be carrying the HTC Desire 510 later this year. The carriers mentioned include Sprint, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and Cricket Wireless.
As for users residing north of the border, they will delighted to know that HTC Canada has also tweeted the carriers in Canada that will be offering the latest phone from HTC. These are Virgin Mobile Canada, Fido Mobile, Rogers, SaskTel, Telus, and Videotron.
The Desire 510 smartphone is positioned by HTC as a flagship-quality handset that is also affordable. Design-wise, this new handset is fairly reminiscent of the more pricey Desire 610 and 816 models. Fortunately for budget-conscious buyers, HTC has incorporated lower-end specifications in Desire 510 to make it more accessible in terms of price.
Measuring 139.9 by 69.8 by 9.99 millimeters and weighing 158 grams, the Desire 510 comes with a 4.7-inch 854 x 480 FWVGA display screen, and also features a 5-megapixel rear camera as well as VGA front cameras.
