Earlier today at CES 2022, HMD Global has just announced a total of five new US-branded phones that they will be releasing in the first half of the year. Although none of these models are considered flagship devices, they have priced all of these phones below $250.
One of the devices they will be releasing, however, comes with 5G connectivity and also falls below that price point. Additionally, HMD will be reviving the Nokia 2760, a classic Nokia device that will now be turned into a modern feature phone.
Right now, all we know about these phones include the following:
Nokia G400 - 5G phone with three rear-facing cameras (48-megapixel main, 5-megapixel ultra-wide, and a-megapixel macro lens), 6.6-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate, 6GB of RAM, 128GB onboard storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. Will be priced at $239 upon release in Q2.
Nokia G100 - 4G phone with a 6.5-inch display, fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery. Will be priced at $149 upon release in Q2.
Nokia C100 - comes with a 5.45-inch display, 3,000mAh battery, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. Will be priced at $99 upon release in Q1.
Nokia C200 - comes with a 6.1-inch display and 4,000mAh battery. Will be priced at $119 upon release in Q2.
Nokia 2760 Flip - Feature phone running a clamshell form and will run KaiOS. Will be priced at $79 upon release in Q1.
As of this writing, HMD Global has not fully gone into detail what the specs of these five phones will be. But they promise to release this information once the launch date of each device gets closer. Instead, the company has revealed that these phones will be available via various wireless providers in the country, such as T-Mobile, Tracfone, Dish Wireless, and Consumer Cellular.
