A decision has been made regarding the ongoing case between Cox Communications and T-Mobile.
As reported by Fierce Wireless, the Delaware Supreme Court decided to allow Cox Communications to pursue a new MVNO deal of its choosing. In this case, Cox plans to sign up with Verizon as an MVNO partner.
Prior to this decision, Cox planned to launch a mobile business last year. But because of the lawsuit that T-Mobile filed against the company, this was prolonged in court. T-Mo said that Cox was under contract to pursue an MVNO agreement with them because of the latter’s existing agreement with Sprint.
Unfortunately, the court decided to rule in favor of Cox. This means that Cox can proceed with its plans to launch a mobile business under Verizon’s networks.
“We believe the market is becoming more attractive for us to enter the wireless space and we are exploring it more aggressively now but have not announced any specific plans.”
