Do feature phones come with an eSIM? Apparently, they still do! And Consumer Cellular is bringing the first device to the US. The MVNO recently unveiled the Iris Flip, a flip phone that comes with eSIM functionality.
The Iris Flip comes with a 3.2-inch display, the largest display size in its category. It also has a 2-inch outer display, a 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of storage, and up to 32GB memory expansion. The device runs on KaiOS.
With eSIM functionality, Consumer Cellular has made it easier for users to activate their devices. They no longer need to use a physical SIM card. Instead, users just need to connect to Wi-Fi or scan a QR code provided by Consumer Cellular.
The Iris Flip is available in red or black color options for $69.
